Dashboards, Business Intelligence & Reporting

Understand your business without assembling another spreadsheet.

I build dashboards and reporting systems that turn scattered sales, operational, and financial data into a clear view of performance.

See what is changing, compare results against targets, and investigate the details behind the numbers, with reporting designed around the decisions your team needs to make.

The final metrics depend on your business model and the data available. Every number needs a clear definition and a useful purpose.

From Source Data to Usable Reports

I build the reporting system behind the dashboard.

KPI Definition & Reporting Design

Translate business goals into a focused set of measures. Agree on how each KPI is calculated, who uses it, and what decision it supports.

Data Preparation & Modeling

Bring relevant data together, standardize formats, match records, and structure relationships so calculations work consistently across reports.

Dashboard Development & Redesign

Build new dashboards or improve existing reports with clearer layouts, useful comparisons, filters, and access to supporting records.

Scheduled Reports & Distribution

Prepare recurring reporting outputs and deliver them to the right audience on an agreed schedule, where the selected platform supports it.

Reporting Maintenance

Maintain data connections, investigate refresh failures, and update calculations or report structures as business requirements change.

Reporting You Can Explain

When two reports disagree, the answer should be traceable.

A useful dashboard makes its numbers understandable. I define how the data is selected, calculated, and refreshed so your team can investigate differences instead of debating totals.

Clear definitions

Everyone knows what counts as a lead, a won deal, revenue, an active project, or an overdue task.

Consistent comparisons

Date ranges, currencies, statuses, and filters are applied deliberately so reports compare like with like.

Visible freshness

Your team can see when the information was last refreshed and understand the reporting schedule.

Checks against source records

Selected totals and records are reconciled with the source systems before the dashboard is accepted.

Appropriate access

Report access is designed around the people who need it, with account or team restrictions where required and supported.

A Reporting Approach That Fits Your Business

Use the right reporting environment for your team.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Microsoft Power BI

Custom data models, interactive reporting, and consolidated views across connected business sources.

TAILORED TO YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Custom Analytics Applications

Purpose-built interfaces when your requirements extend beyond a standard dashboard, such as dataset uploads, tailored exploration, or AI-assisted questions.

Data sources I work with

Sales
HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM
Operations
Monday.com, ClickUp, Jira, Airtable
Finance
Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks
Files and databases
Google Sheets, Excel, SQL Server, Supabase, DuckDB
Other business systems
APIs and structured exports, subject to available access

Connection methods and refresh schedules are selected around your data sources, licensing, and reporting needs.

Explore Your Data in Plain Language

Ask the next question without starting another report.

For suitable use cases, I build AI-assisted analytics interfaces that let users explore approved datasets through natural-language questions.

Ask which source generated the most qualified leads, how performance changed between periods, or which segment needs closer investigation.

The interface can help retrieve, summarize, and explore results while keeping the underlying calculations and records available for review.

Reporting Experience

Built around real reporting challenges.

Cross-Organization Financial Analytics

Aggregated and normalized data from two Zoho Books organizations through Zoho Creator and Deluge, then connected it to Power BI.

Bringing separate financial datasets into a consolidated analytical view.

Reporting Across 45+ GoHighLevel Accounts

Led a three-person reporting operation across 45+ sub-accounts, coordinating data extraction, report preparation, and quality reviews on a biweekly schedule.

Consistent reporting across a large account portfolio.

Custom AI Lead Analytics Application

Developed a React, FastAPI, and DuckDB application for uploading business datasets, building dynamic dashboards, and querying information through an AI layer.

Combining structured analytics with natural-language exploration.

Jira Delivery Reporting

Restructured project hierarchies and issue categories and built cross-project analytics views.

Making sprint and delivery performance easier to review.

Start With the Report You Wish You Had

What do you need to know that your current reports cannot tell you?

Tell me which numbers you are trying to track, where the data lives, and how reporting works today. I’ll help identify a practical starting point.

START WITH YOUR REPORTING QUESTION

Discuss your reporting needs

A first conversation to understand the fit and next steps. Detailed dashboard design is scoped separately.

Practical Questions

Before we build your reporting.

Can you combine data from multiple systems?

Yes, where the required data is accessible through connectors, APIs, databases, or exports. I review how records relate and which source owns each metric before combining them.

Will the dashboard update in real time?

Refresh frequency depends on the source systems, connection methods, platform limits, and licensing. I agree on a practical schedule with you and make the data’s freshness visible.

Can you fix an existing dashboard?

Yes. I can review confusing layouts, inconsistent calculations, missing data, slow reports, or unreliable refreshes and scope the improvements needed.

What if our data is incomplete or messy?

I assess data quality before committing to the final reporting scope. Some issues can be addressed during preparation; others need changes to how the source system captures information.

Can different teams see different information?

Yes, subject to the platform and agreed access design. Views can be tailored for leadership, departments, clients, or locations.

Can reports be delivered automatically?

Scheduled delivery can be included where supported. We define the audience, frequency, format, and access requirements during scoping.

Do we need a separate BI platform?

Not always. Existing CRM or project-management reporting may be sufficient. A separate BI platform or custom application is useful when your requirements need broader data combinations or more tailored analysis.

What will we receive at handover?

The agreed dashboards, KPI definitions, refresh and access setup, documentation, and a walkthrough. Licensing, hosting, ownership, and ongoing support are clarified in the project scope.

Make Your Next Review More Useful

Spend the meeting discussing what to do next.

Bring the reports that take too long to prepare, the numbers that never agree, or the questions your current dashboard leaves unanswered. I’ll help you turn them into reporting your team can understand and use.
